Grace Doyle - Executive Assistant

Washington State Rehabilitation Council Grace Doyle - Executive Assistant Grace came to work for WSRC and SILC in January of 2006. Prior to that, she lived in Montana for five years, where she ran a quilting business, but also worked as an independent contractor on military proposals, exclusively with Raytheon. Her background is in education; 22 years as a high school English teacher and 6 more in administration as the Educational Effectiveness Coordinator for the Red Lake Indian Nation in northern Minnesota.

"My recent life has seen many changes, both personally and professionally. I am reminded often of a quote I heard at an administrative workshop years ago:

Change has a considerable psychological impact on the human mind. To the fearful, it is threatening because it means that things may get worse. To the hopeful, it is encouraging because things may get better. To the confident, it is inspiring because the challenge exists to make things better."

I am happy the changes in my life brought me into this new circle of experiences and people. And I am prouder still to support the work of the Washington State Rehabilitation Council and the State Independent Living Council."
